On Christmas eve we cooked, drank, and took in some family and friends. There were a total of twelve people in my 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home, luckily we have an addition on the house and we put the polar express on for the children.
My mother, father and brother were among the adults. My friend Anna and her husband were here as well, along with their herd of 4 children. Buddy and I were here with our one child. So there were plenty of adults to child ratio lol...
We drank a lot, my mother and father left at about 8pm and my brother about nine. Leland, Anna, Buddy, and I played some cards, but you could tell some were a bit too wasted to play cards he he. We had a great time and it was all pretty good. Leland and Buddy fell asleep around 10pm.
Anna and I ran somewhere, and when we came back Gabriel and Kailey had a good sugar buzz going on as they ate a Whole bunch of cupcakes (chocolate of course) all the other kids were quite and either sleeping or playing a video game.
Kailey and Gabe were relentless though they wouldn't leave us alone. Finally Anna got Leland up and they proceeded home. Since Leland hadn't drank he was driving and all was well.
Buddy gave me a beautiful necklace for Christmas! Here it is...
He also got me some diamond earrings but he didn't realize after 8 years that I don't wear earrings because my left ear had its earring ripped out and I had reconstructive surgery on it. I went and got that one re- pierced on Sunday at wal-mart so I could wear the earrings, but now I have to wait 6 weeks before I can change my earrings and wear the ones he got me.
OK So I love the necklace. It is great. Best present ever you can tell he put a lot of thought into it as I don't normally wear jewelry. I was happy to go get my ear pierced. I can't wait to get my new earrings in my ear. Though they don't match the necklace, they aren't hearts I mean, they are just diamonds.
Kailey's Christmas day went well here are some videos of her opening her presents. It was funny watching her with penbo, we hid penbo till last, we put penbo in the bookshelf in another room, it was really funny cause we said, "well looks like you weren't good enough to get penbo!" she said " that is OK cause I got all this other awesome stuff anyways" and she took it like a sport.
We were really proud of the way she handled not getting penbo the penguin. Buddy and I proceeded to clean up the mess made by unwrapping the presents. Buddy walked into the other room and said "Kailey there is another present in here on the shelf, come look" she ran in there and got it and brought it back into the living room and when she opened it proceeded to yelling "penbo, SANTA BROUGHT ME PENBO!!! This is the best Christmas ever!"
The kids on Christmas eve each getting a present.
The following are Kailey on Christmas day!
So it was a great Christmas, and Anna told me the kids had a great christmas to, at the last minute we were able to pull in donated toys and stuff we bought for them and they got some good stuff. I mean seriously they had a good lot of toys a piece.
So I was relieved that Christmas went SO well, as well as Christmas eve cause I was sure that was going to be one disaster with my mother, father, and brother being here. LOL at one point Monroe, one of Anna's younger boys, came crying cause my brother wouldn't share the video game with him lol. A 27 year old man wont share a video game with a five year old. I wish I had broke the camera out for that, and the children all attacking inebriated buddy, they were hanging off of him a kid on each leg one on his back and one on each arm lol... it was a sight to see.
Buddy said he recalled the kids hitting him in the man purse, and one of them called it the nut launcher lol... but if you are going to play rough with a bunch of kids your gonna take a hit to the family jewels as well... you should expect it.
Also I am off work until next Monday so I am spending the day to get the house back into some sort of recognisable state. Then I am going to try to keep it all nice and tidy through the week so I can get a break one day hopefully. Thanks for tuning in to my blog and I hope you enjoy it.
