17th, 18th, and 19th

OK so my snow day was boring, and I didn't do much but stay at home.

Sunday 19th
Today was spent visiting with an old friend. Michelle Martin, I have known Michelle since 7th grade, although we weren't friends in 7th grade we were in the 8th and so on. Michelle had come in from California to visit, it was awesome to get to see her again, as we hadn't seen each other in about 4 years. Last time I saw her Kailey was 7 months old and she was pregnant with Cali her daughter.

Kailey and Cali hit it off quickly and became fast friends, sneaking around doing the things Kailey does on a daily basis, just a different venue, in Michelle's moms house. The girls had a good time and were highly upset when we had to part ways. I hated that as well. Michelle and I talked about lots of stuff. She said she maybe moving back to TN so that will be nice if it happens.

After we left Michelle's we went to Wal-Mart and got some stuff, and went home, we found Jeff Snyder was there visiting with Buddy, the Pittsburgh Steelers were playing football. It was sad though cause they lost and Buddy was upset. Kailey was in bed by 9pm and Buddy and I got to have adult time we sat on the couch and watched a reality show about Sarah Palin's Alaska. We enjoy the show to some extent but some of it is a bit over the top and you know that in her normal life, before the show, she didn't do this stuff!

Pretty much that was the highlight of our evening. :-)

Saturday 18th
This morning I got a call from Anna, her father had passed away this morning after his kidneys started shutting down. It is very sad, I was sure the man was made of Steel and was going to fight his way past New Years. But I don't guess love or money will keep you alive! I feel bad for them because now they are having to grieve through the holidays! But I am glad his pain and suffering are over for him.
Today we went for our girl day at the hair salon. Kailey got her hair done, and the ladies did her finger nails with a beautiful sparkly blue!  I got a pedicure for the first time ever, and had my toenails painted beautiful sparkly purple.

Today's Agenda consists of finding Santa. We went home for a while because we needed to help papaw and uncle Ronnie ( my brother) put up a new cattle fence as all the cows were getting out and it was becoming a hazard not just for the cows but for the motorists in our area. And the TVA was having a bitch fit about them coming onto their property!
Buddy went down to help instead and I stayed home with Kailey. We got ready and went to see Santa oh what fun. We stood in line for an hour and she finally got to sit on Santa's lap. She loved that part and had a long conversation with him.

While standing in line there was an elf who was doing magic tricks and juggling! She enjoyed that and even got in on a few Magic tricks.

Kailey and Santa

We finally left the mall, we went home and watched the Polar express with Buddy. After the polar express was over buddy spent his time consoling Leland on the phone, and me on the phone with Anna trying to help with problem solutions. Even though we are a few hundred miles apart I WILL help solve problems if I can. With a computer at my finger tips I can contact anyone about anything!

We said a special prayer for them hoping that everything would pull through and they would have some money left over, so that they wouldn't be SO financially stressed. It is a sad fact that when a loved one dies, you not only have to deal with Emotional side of it, but the financial and physical side of it. When you have 4 small children it doesn't help especially at Christmas time which is very sad.

It almost seems as if they can't get a break no matter how they slice it, and it is very strenuous mentally on them.

Friday 17th
On Friday I went to Kailey's cheer ceremony, she got a medal (reminds you of a medal of honor) She got a ribbon and a certificate. It was cute! I then did the Mad dash back to the house to drop her off and go to the Navarro Christmas Party.

We got stuck in dead still traffic at Watt Rd where apparently 2 cars had collided on the interstate spinning one into the other lanes. Well that was just great I was going to be an hour late for this party to. And I was! I went to the party, it was not that great!

You had to buy your own alcohol, pay for your parking, and they didn't have enough table's to sit at. The food was good and they had a smokers lounge, so I liked that, especially since we were on the 26th floor (I maybe wrong about the floor, as it was at the top of the building).

So Tammy won a TV which was cool, about 4 people won TVs, then there were cameras, and gift cards. I wish I had won something. Apparently my luck has run out. I am now in the process of talking Buddy into buying the TV Tammy won from her.
