So friday was a total disaster area! I left my home at 2:30 to get to knoxville as Kailey was going to be in the christmas parade that was supposed to start at 5:30pm (a night time parade and yes I was leaving a bit early to get there cause of parking and traffic and all the BS) So we get there they are working on lining up floats at 3:00pm. I think to myself this is going to go quick and smooth.
Boy was I wrong! I was walking around with Kailey forever. By 7pm they had just put the girls on a float. Kailey was scared and wanted off. Norah and Kailey were both cold! As the cheer coach had told us that the girls had to wear their cheer outfits and that the Knoxville parade was pretty picky about what the girls could wear on their legs and nude hose were about it.
The parade was barely moving by 8pm when Anna and I decided to pull our daughters off the float as it was too cold to be out that late in just a skirt! They didn't care and they let them off and we left and went and got Chinese food!
Afterwards we found my truck and I left to go home. Buddy called and I was trying to find my way out of the parking garage that had no rhyme or reasoning to its dang arrows that pointed me in the directions of apparently every which way but the right way. I was very annoyed and that made Buddy mad, cause he thought I was aggravated about him calling me.
This caused a small spat!
Either way I went home and enjoyed videotaping the cuckoo clock that we just got it was cool. I will post it here later today.
Also I couldn't get video of the parade cause it was pitch black and no one could see a thing.
Also if you look at the pictures of the float you will see it resembled a strippers stage with a Christmas tree on it and a big sign in the back that looks like the billboard from the catch! It was a little sketchy.
I will post those later it is kind of funny and weird all at the same time.
So on Saturday we just kind of hung out at the house. We brought our Pit Bull in because she has decided to starve herself to death! She will not eat a bit outdoors right now, I don't know if it is just too cold, or if she is just being hard headed.... but food from a week was still in her area and she hadn't touched it, she has lost like 20 lbs and looks awful. The only reason we didn't notice is because I go down there after dark to feed due to my work and I never could see if she was in or out of food until this weekend.
This isn't the first time she has done this in the winter months, and the only reason she don't live in the house is we are gone to work a lot and she has never been able to be fully house trained for some odd reason. Wonderful dog though. She is a great pet. My daughter loves her and Daisy loves my daughter. You can't keep her in your yard as she will climb over and she is the best escape artist so she has to be kept on a chain or in the house. Either way it hasn't been great for her in the winter cause she decides to fast and if we don't catch her fasting she will get underweight quick. We are lucky we caught it cause it was starting to get bad. We tend to forget this every year and she seems to remind us!
Then we feel awful for the 2 weeks it is taking us to get weight back on the poor thing. She eats like a queen for 2 weeks and then we put her back on a normal feeding schedule and keep her in the house until it warms up.
Sunday was OK, we just spent the day in pretty much. I went to the store with Kailey for a while but other than that hung out at the house cleaning and sprucing up the place. It seems like we watched sports all weekend. LOL. WV Mountaineers, UCONN and Florida (I think) and Steelers and Ravens... some good games.
Daisy is still looking skinny and sad and we feel awful about that. Our fat English bulldog never turns down a meal and will eat whatever you put in front of him... so we are use to him lapping down his food immediately. I hope she fully recovers soon as I can't stand to look at her and know she let herself starve and I didn't notice.
Kitty seems to be angry that we are making her stay outside, with Daisy and scrappy in the house it is hard to also have a cat running around, also we don't have a place for her to go to the potty and know she will start going in weird places if allowed to stay inside.
So pretty much this was my weekend and I am trying to recover from all of it lol!
