So through out the week you will see me post useless information. This is going to be sort of like a journal blog in some ways! So yesterday I worked all day I got home at almost 7pm. I proceeded to cook dinner... some sort of random meat lol, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and green beans. My kiddo ate all her meal, my man, yes I have a man gotta have one of those to make tha babies and pay tha bills!
As I was saying, my man, Buddy, he ate all his food and fell asleep watching TV, it was kind of early for him as he normally goes to bed at around 10pm so this was 8:30 or 9pm.
I proceeded to do what i call the no sleep for Amanda dance as our daughter Kailey has decided that she is not going to bed anymore. Mainly due to our lack of money to put her in day care she is staying with my mother who's child rearing skills weren't very good back in the 80's either.
Don't get me wrong she is doing us a favor by watching Kailey, something she had begged to do by the way, but her main problem is that she and my father sleep all day long. They don't work and have no ambition to do anything. Kailey sleeps late and wont go to bed at night. This puts a kink in the proverbial hose as I am the one that stays up continuously putting her in the bed, and scolding her for jumping on the couch.
So I have vowed that I am going to quit yelling at my child and try harder to keep my composer even when I am mad... this is a very tough skill to acquire because for some odd reason I haven't been able to make it work. I am trying very hard though these days... so when the Sleepless dance starts I calmly and quietly walk Kailey to her room. She protests " I hate my bedroom I dont' want to sleep in here" 5 minutes later she walks back out into my living room which has become my bedroom and I catch her jumping from one end of our sectional to another. I take her arm and calmly walk her back to her room and I do this about 100 times. Then I send her into the bedroom where she can lay down with her daddy and go to sleep.... that doesn't work either...I have to scold her a few times and then I give her a nice spanking to back myself up then she goes to sleep it is now midnight and I have to get myself calmed down and try to relax so I can go to sleep as I need to be up by 5 am to go to work!
I finally go to sleep and buddy wakes me up at 5:15 and The get out of the house and get on the ball dance starts. He is gone by 6 am and I am still fighting with Kailey, ( and the dog "scrappy" by the way who keeps biting me when I put my hand on her) who keeps screaming I am too tired...I calmly tell her well you should have went to bed at a decent hour, this only upsets her more. We finally get into gear and I make it to work by 6:30 after driving her down to my mothers and dropping her off..
