So this weekend was great. Friday started out Kiwi had her appointment with her new allergist. We were there from 8:30am till 11am which cut into my coffee time with crystal. Yest on Fridays they are our coffee days. I love having someone to have coffee with.
Crystal is going to be a mommy again. This will be her 5th Labor. She has delivered all at home but one. This one will to be a home delivery, and I have been invited to attend as a support person. I will more than likely blog about Crystals pregnancy a lot, I am living vicariously through my friend who is having a baby... I want another one buddy says no so I will just live through crystal. lol.
You may see pictures from her home birth, that is if she is OK with that. She said her friends husband posted them to face book cause he was supper excited to attend and well got into some trouble cause there were some not so "great" shots of her lady parts.
I am trying to stay on top of my blog. Back to my weekend. My mother came over and helped clean the house. I saved a bird from the water trough of death, apparently this is where birds go to die, because there was another one dead in the trough and had I not seen this one flopping around it would have died to.
My mother said she would take it to her house and if it lived she would let Kailey have it back. But instead Saturday when we called to see how the bird was doing, my mother and father had turned him loose. Kailey was horribly upset by this and my dad said I should bust her ass. But to be honest with you since we had agreed she could have it if it got better, remained alive, was eating well, ects.. I saw no point in busting her ass cause I wouldn't want to be lied to either.
I don't think my parents get that. You can not lie to your children, then change your mind and expect them to be obedient, I didn't lie to her, but since they did let the bird go, I had no control over her emotions because she wanted the bird. The man of the house says she can't have a bird anyway. But it wasn't until sunday he told her she couldn't have a bird all of this happened on friday with the bird flying off on saturday.
My mother came down agian saturday and spent some time with us. Then crystal came over to watch football with me. Then my washer over flowed on the floor. I so need a new washer and dryer cause my dryer takes like 20 times to dry my clothing.
My washer flooded my floor and then I had to figure out how to get it taken care of when after crystal left a friend of ours called me we will call him "J-R" (real name is Jeff) called me and he said that he knew what was wrong with the washer he walked me through how to fix it and it was fixed. But it ruined my floor and still dont work right 100% of the time, but it sure don't continue to fill when it is over full anymore.
My dryer has pretty much given up on us. I want a new dryer so bad I don't know what it is like to put a load of laundry in a dryer and it come out dry the firt time. I wish I did I would love to have a dryer that works.
Saturday night "B" came home and we just hung out with crystal for a moment or two and then she had to go. After watching the UT vols get their asses handed to them I don't think either of us were happy.
I have fun with crystal and I hope we can continue meeting for coffee on Friday and eating fatty junk food on saturday watching the vols get their asses handed to them.
Emma took steps on her own over the weekend, but is too afraid to walk by herself and always grabs on to something after taking a few uneasy steps. So I think she will be up and walking/running any week now.
Yes it appears Emma will be running before you know it, as far as the bird incident and Kailey, I understand she was upset and for good reason, all you can do now is explain that the bird will be happier out with his friends rather than living in a cage, now that she knows that she is not allowed to have one it will be easier next time. I don't like the idea of telling a lie to a child then punishing them for believing you.
ReplyDeleteCrystal sounds like a good friend and I see you both sharing many cups of coffee in the future.
Thank you Jimmy we have known one another for quite some time I hope that our coffee days continue. Crystal is the type of person who I can get straight honesty from or even have a disagreement with and we would still get along
