Yes the title is correct. Kailey has been doing swim lessons. This is her second week. The first week she did them she only got to go 2 days out of 4 because of rain storms. We haven't had rain all summer and on the two weeks I chose to do swim lessons we have been rained out 3 times total now. On Monday this week she did get to go but it rained on Tuesdays lesson and it was canceled. Wednesday was great she is doing well but she hasn't gotten to do the full lessons every day so she has only moved up one level since she started. They have the opportunity to move up to 5 levels.
I told her father that if she didn't learn well enough this year we would have her in lessons all summer next year which would be like 120 for 6 weeks of class. I don't mind sending her it is a safety hazard not knowing how to swim. She needs to be a good swimmer.
He claims if she doesn't know how to swim after two weeks of lessons then he will be pissed but he doesn't realize that the missed days are what is hurting the most. Kailey is a Level two. She started as a Level one, her first lesson she tested in as a level one and by her second lesson they moved her to level two.
Enough about swimming...
This weekend I will be trying to make plans to go to see Magic Mike with my cousin Erin. I hope we get to go. I wish we could have a girl night and go to the Drive in movies even though they are not playing anything I want to see. I just wanted to see Chernobyl Diaries, which played there last weekend after the Amazing Spider man. I think the drive in is awesome. Though the first time I went was a few weeks ago with my daughter to see Brave and What to expect when you are expecting.
This week it is the Dark Knight (the Batman movie) followed by a musical called Rock Of Ages... not my thing. I could probably get drunk and enjoy it. I want to have a WOMAN day... and go out with my friends and do something fun, and come home at like 3 in the morning like the men do... but it really isnt all that interesting... I don't care to do those things... I can't hold my head up after midnight but I want to do them because Buddy does. I hate sitting at home at midnight fighting sleep waiting for him to come home. I want to go out unplanned just on a whim and tell him "I don't know what we are doing, they just invited me out, see ya" lol.
He doesn't go out often but when he does that is how it is. Like last friday, I was on my way home from work, and he had been off all day, I had to cancel my daughter's doctors apointment cause he didn't want to have to take her. Then when I get home he gets up "going to jeffs" and he leaves and doesn't come home till 3 am... of course I gave up on him coming home soon and went to bed way back at 11:30pm.
Anyways, Emma saw another little baby at the pool yesterday while we were waiting on Kailey. She was soo excited she got upset.. we were sitting with the lady and her baby is the same age as Emma so they wanted to grab each others face and clothes. Emma squeeled and got a bit dramatic. It was funny it was like they were somewhat jelous of each other. Emma was a bit more mean than he was... but she is a bit dramatic at times.
Well hopefully it will not storm all weekend and we can go do something outside. Kailey missed the Jr. Rangers meeting last friday because of the storm. I hope we get to go tomorrow night. Kailey has Swim Lessons so we have to do that tomorrow as well, but either way I am
Hope the storms held off enough to get a few more swim lessons in, the kids don't understand when the weather doesn't cooperate, but they sure smile when it does.
ReplyDeleteWell it worked out she got thru the lessons, but she still isn't a great swimmer...maybe private lessons next year.
